Declaration of Unity with Nature

We respect the future
And so we plant the seed of love today

The harvest will be in sweetest freedoms
And a peace whose fullness reaches beyond the horizon

For our seed is of our own making
And it lives in the interplay of virtue and action

It is time for human compassion to be extended
To include nature in it’s embrace of each other

In appreciation for the gift of life she provides and shares
With the myriad of living forms comprising our reflection

As we accept the uniqueness and noble purpose of each
we grant a blessing which gives space to grow and be

And in maturity we no longer wrestle with becoming
But accept our chosen role to act with grace

So to unite with nature whose harmony is self evident
We too must come into alignment with sunsets and sparrows

By weeding habits of confusion and separation
We open the pathways of sharing and understanding

Our love for ourselves and our fellow Earth travellers deepens
As we develop the skills to care for and nurture our planet

Or planet; a living conscious being
Seeking it’s own fulfillment of which we are a part

Guiding us as a global parent for it’s offspring
To a destiny of shared awareness of our true selves

For the Earth’s promise of an age of peace and prosperity
Now seeks realization; a fulfilment we have only tasted

Through replenishment and rediscovery of our native awareness revealed across this planet and beyond
In the exploration and uncovering of our higher selves, represented by the stars

We shall clear away the exhaust of the past
And breath in the fragrance of the first dawns

Where as children we danced with innocence and trust
Towards the sparkling jewel of our sacred dream

Let us dance once more in the revelation
That amidst fading flowers in the changing seasons, there is an abundance of love,

For it is love which lights the path
For the spirit of mankind to travel upon

Love dwells upon every continent
Behind every door, behind all eyes

Awakening even the sleeping voice
To sing the song of courage

To face the transformation of our lifestyles
To release that which harms our planet, or disrupts our harmony

So we may honor and embody the power which unfolds the rose
And raises mountains and places stars in space

And in our transformation we create the time and place
To allow the honoring this of this spirit to nourish our souls

As an animal uses instinct
We must follow intuition which is also connected to nature

To lead us out of an existence which taxes our planet
So we may create heaven here on earth.

And it is love which numbs doubt
Melts fear and soothes anger

Allowing reason and intuition to find a clearing
Through the thicket of our personal and interpersonal challenges

To become aware of our earth seed inside
Thirsty for a reflection of truth and dignityTo spring forth with grace and freshness

As the dew of morning and the songs of birds
To feel the vastness of our being

And the direction of our travels
We as stars shining every moment

Must embrace the light we manifest
To know ourselves and our uniqueness

Is to be happy and alive
To remove the dried branches of frustration
Is to reveal the wonder of our living dreams

To shed the skins of worry
Is to create trust in wisdom of Mother Earth

That she provides all need
In our foods, air and water available to every creature.

With the purity of our souls we embrace the Earth
And are now joined as a singular global family

For the roots of all peoples unite
In a sacred seed which bears the name Earth

A seed of love planted in our consciousness at birth
Finding in the fertile imagination of childhood room to grow.

Reaching into the future for light
It’s roots digging into the past for history to teach us lessons of wisdom

Until it’s flower of trust and peace blossoms
And it’s fruit of love is enjoyed

So the present will be complete and fulfilling
Because we stand upon the past and bless the future.

And we walk with love outpouring
And all of nature honors us as we honor her.

For our seed inside our consciousness is growing
It knows it is part of the earth

As it grows it stills the mind
And gives birth to spirit

It calls forth the rain of self forgiveness
And emits again the perfume of imagination

Creating a bouquet for Creator to revere
As reward for the labor of Creation

And a rainbow to encircle the earth’s vision for us
One in which all people have the opportunity for the awakening of their dream

A time when weapons and defenses can be set down
A time when trust and faith in ourselves will emerge as our security

A time when we each have enough
And there is enough for each of us

A time when we do what we enjoy
And that enjoyment is everlasting

A time when we unite in consciousness
With our planet, whom we look to for leadership and guidance, our home...

And so we must surrender the thoughts which leash us to the past
And look with renewed eyes at our fellow earth inhabiters as often as necessary

For the walls of division and separation are falling throughout the world
And there is no more need to invest in a vision which does not include the happiness of all

For surely as the miracle of the redwood forest
And the cry of the newborn child

There is a vision
Which gives all people their due life, their just happiness

And this vision, the fruit of the seed of love,
Is beginning to ripen throughout the world

For the time is at hand
It is a time for peace

Peace lives in the hearts of children
And reaches maturity in the bond between nations

Though we may become separated along the pathway
Our devotion to God’s goodness will return all things to their rightful place

Peace has seasons, beginning as the innocence of a newly budding rose
Rising into full expression as the vast powers of the ocean

And then returning to the dust
To be cleansed by the tears of purity

It is a time to give peace it’s breath of life
To open our hearts to the heralds of beauty

The garden flowers, the rivers and clouds which mind no national border
Nature’s voice, both audible and imagined

To see and behold the beauty in ourselves and our brothers and sisters
The essence of wonder dwells here

The challenge is not to find nor to build
But to forgive and remember

For if we have exchanged our happiness for a security which brings unhappiness to another or to the earth
Then it is time to exchange it for a fulfillment which is connected to the power that enables our heart to beat

Whose love brings forth the foods we eat
Whose presence has dwelled upon earth before the creation of man

Let us provide ourselves and our children with the proper tools
To understand the language of the earth (and the tools to know ourselves)

Stopping if we must to rest
Knowing rest allow regeneration

In a moment’s silence
We give back a reflection to nature

Which nurture’s her into herself
For she has known silence since the advent of creation

Mankind’s output of sounds
Demands an equal input of silence

For in allowance of natures voice to sing
We allow ourselves to be healed

We have built buildings taller than our trees
Above us, yet we can still return to nature it’s rightful place above us

If we but dampen the sounds we make
And allow her voice to seep into our souls

The well of love within will respond
And overflow to heal the land

For the abundance of love is the prelude to the symphony of planetary harmony
A unity in which each action brings the reward of satisfaction to all

In balancing the welfare for our planet and ourselves
o become one thought, one action, one mind

Then the choices are easier
The complexity simplifies

The burden lessened
For what benefits the future, benefits all

For we all share tomorrow
Though it’s shape be merely a prayer

Let it be a prayer of buoyancy and beauty
And tomorrow we will find that which we desire

For tomorrow yearns to shine brightly
As the stars and sun on whose back it travels

The prayer is to ourselves
To embrace each tomorrow as the first

To accept our selves in our divergence
From nature’s extended hand

To unite with the earth beneath our feet
And the seed within ourselves

The more we learn, the more we can shed the blinders of ignorance
the more we love, the sooner we unlock the chains of fear

And the closer we are to walking in step to the pulse of the planet
The one home we share

For it is each other
We depend on..

To cleave us from the husks of history
And emerge as one family of God
