The Feed the Community Project
Co chairs: Kathleen Ferrick, Rosenblatt, and Judi Amber Chase
Seven Days a week healthy foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, much of it organic is picked up by members of the committee from two sponsors: Whole Foods Markets and Trader Joes delivered to Several San Fernando Valley Homeless Shelters, Lutheran Church, Family Services, and also directly to families in need of food assistance.
We would like to thank Whole Foods and Trader Joes for their participation and generosity in this making this project possible.
Thank you Earth Harmony Foundation for your wonderful “Feed the Community Food contributions from Trader Joes and Whole Foods. We were four out of work people driving together in one car with our 89 year old friend who is currently fighting bone cancer, taking him to the cancer convention at the Sheraton Universal Hotel, Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011.
One of your Foundation volunteers, named David, arrived with an abundance of salads, strawberries, grapes and an excessive amount of bananas for our lunch and dinner. We were so excited as we were all very hungry and no money for the expensive hotel food. We sat outside under the trees in front of the Hotel and ate all the wonderful, healthy donated food. Thank you for all the people you feed and thank you to your volunteers.
This holiday season, volunteers from The Earth Harmony Foundation celebrated the spirit of giving by packing toys, paint supplies, crayons, coloring books, reading books, small musical instruments, dolls, stuffed animals, pillows, and sticker kits into our foundation’s green ‘Backpacks of Love’ for the Inner Circle Foster Agency annual 2006 Holiday Party on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006.
