Earth Day Park

Created in 1992 to commemorate the Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro, this LA County owned land has displayed the Earth Day Every Day mural to pronounce the message of the Earth Summit to thousands of cars each day.

Now Native Avocado trees are growing to provide food to those in need, as well as butterfly attracting native milkweed in a butterfly shaped garden to provide food and lodging to the migrating Monarch Butterflies who only nest upon milkweed.

Expansion plans include other Earth Day related themes, such as solar panels, solar fountains, recycling and windmills and artwork.
